A simple, crowd-pleasing frozen strawberry margarita pitcher made with five easy ingredients, perfect for parties and quick gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups (360 ml) tequila blanco
  • 4 cups (600 g) frozen strawberries
  • ½ cup (120 ml) fresh lime juice
  • ½ cup (120 ml) triple sec or orange liqueur
  • ½ cup (120 ml) simple syrup
  • Coarse sea salt or Tajín for rimming glasses (optional)
  • Ice cubes (optional for serving)

Instructions

  1. Prepare your ingredients by measuring tequila, triple sec, lime juice, simple syrup, and frozen strawberries. Juice fresh limes last to keep the juice bright and fresh.
  2. In a blender, combine tequila blanco, triple sec, fresh lime juice, simple syrup, and frozen strawberries. Pulse on medium-high until smooth and thick. If too thick, add a splash of cold water; if too thin, add more frozen strawberries.
  3. Taste the margarita mix and adjust sweetness by blending in more simple syrup or agave nectar if needed.
  4. Pour the blended margarita into a pitcher and refrigerate for 5 minutes to let it firm up slightly and allow flavors to meld.
  5. Rub lime wedges around the rims of glasses and dip them into coarse salt or Tajín. Add ice cubes if desired.
  6. Pour margarita into glasses, garnish with fresh strawberry slices or lime wheels, and serve immediately.

Notes

Use frozen strawberries to keep the margarita icy without diluting flavor. Fresh lime juice is essential for brightness. Avoid overblending to prevent watery texture. Rim glasses just before serving to keep salt or Tajín fresh. For a lighter twist, add sparkling water before serving. Store leftovers in the freezer up to 2 days and stir before serving.
