A quick and easy one-pan honey garlic salmon with broccoli that’s ready in about 20 minutes. The sweet-savory sauce coats tender salmon and caramelized broccoli for a delicious weeknight dinner.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 salmon fillets (about 6 ounces each)
  • 4 cups broccoli florets (about 1 large head)
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons low-sodium soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil, divided
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)
  • ¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Sesame seeds and sliced green onions for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a large rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. Wash and dry broccoli. Cut into uniform florets about 1½ inches across. Peel and slice tender stems into ½-inch rounds. Toss with 2 tablespoons olive oil, salt, and pepper. Spread in an even layer on one half of the prepared baking sheet.
  3. Roast broccoli for 8 minutes.
  4. Meanwhile, pat salmon fillets dry with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together honey, minced garlic, soy sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil (if using), and red pepper flakes (if using).
  6. After 8 minutes, remove pan from oven. Push broccoli to one side. Place salmon fillets skin-side down on the empty side. Drizzle about half of the sauce over the salmon.
  7. Return to oven and roast for 8-10 minutes, depending on thickness (125°F for medium-rare, 130-135°F for medium).
  8. About 2 minutes before done, brush remaining sauce over salmon.
  9. Optional: Broil for 1-2 minutes until sauce bubbles and caramelizes. Watch closely.
  10. Let rest for 2 minutes. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions if desired. Serve immediately.

Notes

Pat salmon dry for best sear. Roast broccoli first to ensure even cooking. Add sauce in two stages to prevent garlic from burning. Let salmon rest before serving.
