  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup (175g) white chocolate chips or chunks
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) heavy cream
  • About 40 mini candy eyes

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease an 8×8-inch baking pan or line it with parchment paper with an overhang.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter and granulated sugar until smooth and glossy, about 1 minute.
  3. Add eggs one at a time, whisking well after each addition, then stir in vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, sift together flour, cocoa powder, and salt.
  5. Gently fold dry ingredients into wet mixture using a rubber spatula until no streaks of flour remain. Batter should be thick and fudgy.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly with a spatula.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes, checking at 20 minutes with a toothpick; it should come out with a few moist crumbs but no wet batter.
  8. Cool brownies completely on a wire rack before adding drizzle.
  9. Melt white chocolate chips and heavy cream in a microwave-safe bowl in 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth, or use a double boiler.
  10. Spoon melted white chocolate into a piping bag or plastic sandwich bag and snip a tiny corner off.
  11. Pipe thin diagonal lines across the brownies to create the mummy bandage effect.
  12. While drizzle is still wet, gently press two mini candy eyes onto each mummy bite.
  13. Allow drizzle to set at room temperature or refrigerate for 10-15 minutes to harden.
  14. Cut brownies into bite-sized squares using a sharp knife warmed under hot water for clean cuts.
