Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (90g) old-fashioned rolled oats
  • 1 cup (240ml) milk of your choice (whole milk recommended)
  • 3 tablespoons (48g) creamy peanut butter (Jif or Skippy recommended)
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon (12g) chia seeds
  • 2 tablespoons (30g) mini chocolate chips (semi-sweet recommended)
  • 1/2 teaspoon (2ml) vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl or directly in your jar, mix together 1 cup rolled oats, 1 tablespoon chia seeds, and a tiny pinch of salt. Stir with a fork to combine.
  2. Pour in 1 cup milk, 3 tablespoons peanut butter, 2 tablespoons maple syrup, and 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract. Stir until the peanut butter is fully incorporated.
  3. Add 2 tablespoons mini chocolate chips and fold them in gently.
  4. Seal the jar and refrigerate for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight.
  5. In the morning, stir the oats. If too thick, add a splash of milk. Serve cold or microwave for 30-45 seconds if desired.
  6. Add toppings like extra peanut butter, chocolate chips, sliced bananas, or fresh fruit.

Notes

Don’t skip the chia seeds—they create the pudding-like texture. Mix peanut butter thoroughly to avoid clumps. Use mini chocolate chips for even distribution. Oats keep in the fridge for up to 5 days. For a smoother texture, blend oats for 10 seconds in a food processor before adding.
