Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup (90g) rolled oats
  • ½ cup (about 75g) fresh blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons (30ml) pure maple syrup
  • 1 cup (240ml) milk of choice (unsweetened almond milk recommended)
  • ½ cup (120g) plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tablespoon (15g) chia seeds
  • ½ teaspoon (2.5ml) vanilla extract (optional)
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Combine the oats and chia seeds in a mixing bowl and stir to mix evenly.
  2. Place ½ cup fresh blueberries in a small bowl and gently mash about half of them with a fork.
  3. Add milk, Greek yogurt, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt to the mashed blueberries and whisk until smooth.
  4. Pour the wet mixture over the oats and chia seeds, then fold in the mashed and whole blueberries gently.
  5. Divide the mixture evenly into 2 to 3 mason jars or airtight containers, leaving space at the top.
  6. Seal the jars and refrigerate for at least 6 hours or overnight.
  7. Serve chilled, stirring before eating. Optionally top with extra blueberries, maple syrup, or chopped nuts.

Notes

If oats are too thick in the morning, stir in a splash of milk to loosen. Use rolled oats for best texture. Chia seeds are optional but recommended for texture and nutrition. Frozen blueberries can be used if thawed. Store refrigerated up to 4 days. Reheat briefly if desired.
