A bright, tangy, and perfectly balanced non-alcoholic margarita made with fresh lime juice, agave syrup, and sparkling water. This easy and refreshing mocktail is quick to prepare and perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 to 3 medium-sized fresh limes, juiced (about 2 ounces or 60 ml lime juice)
  • 2 tablespoons (30 ml) agave syrup
  • 1 cup (240 ml) sparkling water or club soda
  • Ice cubes or crushed ice, enough to fill the glass
  • Coarse salt or Tajín (optional, for rimming the glass)
  • Fresh lime wedges or slices for garnish

Instructions

  1. If desired, rim the glass with salt or Tajín by rubbing a lime wedge around the rim and dipping it into the seasoning on a shallow plate. Set aside.
  2. Roll the limes on the countertop, cut in half, and juice until you have about 2 ounces (60 ml) of fresh lime juice. Strain to remove pulp if preferred.
  3. In a mixing glass or small pitcher, combine the fresh lime juice with 2 tablespoons (30 ml) of agave syrup. Stir well until the agave dissolves completely.
  4. Fill the prepared glass with ice cubes or crushed ice.
  5. Pour the lime and agave syrup mixture over the ice.
  6. Gently add 1 cup (240 ml) of chilled sparkling water or club soda. Stir lightly to combine without losing fizz.
  7. Garnish with a fresh lime wedge or slice on the rim or floating in the glass. Serve immediately.

Notes

Always use fresh lime juice for the best flavor. Stir the lime juice and agave syrup thoroughly before adding sparkling water to avoid syrup settling at the bottom. Chill sparkling water and glasses for a crisper drink. Avoid shaking with sparkling water to preserve carbonation. The drink is best served immediately to enjoy the fizz.
