A quick and elegant snack combining the sweet juiciness of tropical fruits with the salty savoriness of prosciutto, finished with a delicate honey drizzle for a refreshing and flavorful bite.

Ingredients

  • Thinly sliced prosciutto
  • Fresh ripe pineapple chunks
  • Ripe mango slices
  • Kiwi, peeled and halved
  • Papaya cubes (optional)
  • Runny honey (clover or wildflower honey recommended)
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish
  • Fresh lime wedges
  • Toasted almonds or pistachios (optional)
  • Small dollops of burrata or fresh mozzarella (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the fruit by peeling and slicing: cut pineapple into bite-sized chunks, slice mango into thin wedges, peel and halve kiwi, and cube papaya if using. Choose ripe but firm fruits.
  2. Arrange the fruit on a large serving board or platter in clusters or patterns, allowing space for each fruit to shine.
  3. Gently drape thin slices of prosciutto over and around the fruit clusters, folding or twisting slices for dimension.
  4. Lightly drizzle honey evenly over the entire board using a spoon or drizzle bottle, avoiding soaking the fruit.
  5. Scatter fresh mint leaves across the board and place lime wedges off to the side for optional squeezing. Sprinkle nuts last if using.
  6. Adjust the arrangement for color balance and spacing before serving.
  7. Serve at room temperature about 10 minutes after assembly for best flavor. Keep chilled if not serving immediately.

Notes

Use ripe but firm fruit to avoid sogginess. Drizzle honey just before serving to maintain texture. Keep honey separate if storing leftovers. Avoid freezing the board as fruit texture will degrade. Variations include swapping prosciutto for smoked turkey or grilled halloumi for vegetarian options, and seasonal fruit substitutions.
