These easy turkey and cheese pinwheel lunch wraps are perfect for school lunches, parties, or quick snacks. Made with simple ingredients like turkey, cream cheese, and fresh veggies, they’re ready in 10 minutes and kid-approved.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 flour tortillas (8-inch)
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 8 ounces deli turkey slices
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 handful fresh spinach leaves (optional)
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 pinch black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon milk (for cream cheese spread)

Instructions

  1. Soften the cream cheese by letting it sit at room temperature for 15-20 minutes or microwaving for 10-15 seconds. Add a tablespoon of milk and a pinch of salt and pepper, then mix until smooth.
  2. Lay out one tortilla flat on a cutting board. If cold, warm in the microwave for 10 seconds to make it more flexible.
  3. Spread a thin, even layer of the cream cheese mixture across the entire tortilla, leaving about a half-inch border around the edges.
  4. Place 2-3 slices of deli turkey on top of the cream cheese, overlapping slightly to cover most of the tortilla without hanging over the edges.
  5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the turkey. Add a few spinach leaves if using.
  6. Starting at one edge, roll the tortilla tightly, using your fingers to keep the filling in place. Place seam-side down. If needed, dab a little extra cream cheese along the seam to seal.
  7. Wrap each rolled tortilla tightly in plastic wrap or parchment paper. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up the cream cheese for clean slicing.
  8. Unwrap the chilled rolls and place on a cutting board. Using a sharp serrated knife, slice each roll into 1-inch pieces using a gentle sawing motion. Wipe the knife clean between cuts for best results.

Notes

Chill the rolled tortillas for at least 30 minutes before slicing for clean pinwheels. Use full-fat cream cheese for best texture. For gluten-free, use gluten-free tortillas. For dairy-free, use dairy-free cream cheese and skip the shredded cheese. These keep in the fridge for up to 4 days and can be frozen (uncut rolls) for up to 2 months.
