These no-bake peanut butter banana protein balls come together in under 5 minutes with simple pantry ingredients. They’re the perfect healthy snack for busy days, school lunches, or post-workout fuel.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 large ripe banana
  • 1/4 cup chocolate protein powder
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup (optional)
  • 1/4 cup dark chocolate chips
  • Pinch of sea salt (optional)

Instructions

  1. Mash the banana in a large mixing bowl until smooth with just a few small lumps.
  2. Add the peanut butter and honey (if using) to the mashed banana. Stir until fully combined and smooth.
  3. Add the rolled oats, chocolate protein powder, and a pinch of sea salt. Stir until evenly incorporated. The mixture should be thick and slightly sticky.
  4. Fold in the dark chocolate chips gently.
  5. Using a small cookie scoop or tablespoon, scoop out portions and roll into smooth balls. Wet your hands slightly if the mixture sticks.
  6. Place the balls on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Refrigerate for at least 20-30 minutes to firm up.
  7. Once firm, enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container in the fridge.

Notes

Use a very ripe banana for natural sweetness and better binding. Chilling is crucial for firm texture. Wet hands prevent sticking when rolling. For extra flavor, toast the oats before using.
