This creamy peanut butter banana overnight oats recipe is a game-changer for busy mornings. It takes just 5 minutes to prepare and uses simple ingredients for a delicious, grab-and-go breakfast.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup (45g) rolled oats
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) milk (dairy or plant-based)
  • 1/4 cup (60g) plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons (30g) creamy peanut butter
  • 1 medium ripe banana
  • 1 tablespoon (15ml) maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon (12g) chia seeds (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Mash half of the ripe banana in a mason jar or small bowl until smooth.
  2. Add milk, Greek yogurt, peanut butter, maple syrup, vanilla extract, and chia seeds (if using). Whisk until smooth and creamy.
  3. Add rolled oats and a pinch of salt. Stir until all oats are coated.
  4. Seal the jar and shake well, or stir if using a bowl.
  5. Refrigerate for at least 6 hours, preferably overnight.
  6. In the morning, stir the oats. If too thick, add a splash of milk.
  7. Top with sliced banana, extra peanut butter, chia seeds, or chopped peanuts. Serve cold or warm.

Notes

Use a very ripe banana for natural sweetness and creamy texture. For a vegan version, use dairy-free yogurt and milk. For gluten-free, use certified gluten-free oats. Oats can be stored in the fridge for up to 5 days.
