This creamy, cheesy dip is loaded with bacon and ranch flavor, making it the ultimate game day appetizer. It’s quick, easy, and always a crowd-pleaser.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 8 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 3 green onions, thinly sliced
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Optional: 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 6-8 minutes. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain. Once cool, crumble into small pieces. Set aside about 2 tablespoons for topping.
  3. Soften the cream cheese if needed (microwave for 15-20 seconds if cold).
  4. In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, mayonnaise, and ranch seasoning mix. Mix until smooth and creamy.
  5. Fold in 3/4 cup cheddar, 3/4 cup mozzarella, most of the crumbled bacon (reserve 2 tablespoons), and half of the sliced green onions. Mix until evenly distributed.
  6. Transfer the mixture to an 8×8 or 9×9 baking dish and spread evenly.
  7. Sprinkle the remaining 1/4 cup cheddar and 1/4 cup mozzarella over the top.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until hot and bubbly and the cheese is melted and lightly golden. For a deeper golden top, broil for 1-2 minutes, watching closely.
  9. Let the dip rest for 5 minutes. Sprinkle reserved bacon and green onions on top.
  10. Serve immediately.

Notes

For best results, use full-fat dairy and shred your own cheese. Let the dip rest for 5 minutes after baking to set. Can be assembled ahead and refrigerated for up to 24 hours before baking.
