A quick and easy iced espresso drink combining bold espresso, brown sugar sweetness, and creamy oat milk, shaken to create a frothy, velvety texture perfect for warm weather.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 shots (about 2 fl oz / 60 ml) freshly brewed espresso or strong brewed coffee
  • 2 teaspoons light brown sugar (adjust to taste)
  • ½ cup (120 ml) unsweetened oat milk, chilled
  • 1 cup (240 ml) ice cubes
  • Optional: pinch of ground cinnamon or a splash of vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Brew 2 shots of espresso (about 2 fl oz / 60 ml) using an espresso machine, moka pot, or Aeropress.
  2. Pour the hot espresso into a cocktail shaker or mason jar and add 2 teaspoons of light brown sugar.
  3. Add about 1 cup (240 ml) of ice cubes to the shaker.
  4. Seal tightly and shake vigorously for about 15 seconds until frothy and creamy.
  5. Fill a serving glass with fresh ice cubes.
  6. Pour the shaken espresso and sugar mixture over the ice.
  7. Slowly pour ½ cup (120 ml) of chilled unsweetened oat milk over the espresso to create a creamy swirl.
  8. Optionally, sprinkle a pinch of cinnamon or add a few drops of vanilla extract on top.
  9. Serve immediately with a straw or spoon.

Notes

Use freshly brewed espresso for best flavor and frothy texture. Shake vigorously but not too long to avoid dilution. Use good quality ice cubes to prevent quick melting. Add oat milk after shaking to maintain foam. Store espresso and sugar mixture refrigerated up to 2 days; add oat milk fresh before serving.
