A quick and easy game day dip made with cream cheese, sour cream, ranch seasoning, crispy bacon, and melted cheese. Perfect for parties and guaranteed to disappear before halftime.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 packet (1 oz) ranch seasoning mix
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 8 slices thick-cut bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 23 green onions, sliced
  • 1 jalapeño, seeded and finely diced (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy, about 8-10 minutes. Drain on paper towels, then crumble. Reserve about 2 tablespoons for topping.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Blend until completely smooth with no lumps.
  3. Add ranch seasoning mix and stir until well incorporated. Taste and adjust with a pinch of black pepper if needed.
  4. Fold in 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese, Monterey Jack cheese, crumbled bacon (reserving some for topping), half the green onions, and diced jalapeño (if using). Stir until evenly distributed.
  5. Transfer mixture to an 8×8 inch baking dish and spread into an even layer. Sprinkle remaining 1/2 cup cheddar cheese and reserved bacon on top.
  6. Bake for 18-22 minutes, until hot and bubbly around the edges and lightly golden on top. For a deeper golden crust, broil for the last 2 minutes, watching closely.
  7. Remove from oven and let rest for 5 minutes. Sprinkle remaining green onions on top.
  8. Serve warm with tortilla chips, crackers, or fresh veggies.

Notes

For best results, soften cream cheese to room temperature, cook bacon extra crispy, and shred cheese from a block. The dip can be assembled up to 24 hours ahead and refrigerated; add 5-7 minutes to baking time if starting cold. Leftovers keep in the refrigerator for up to 4 days or can be frozen for up to 2 months.
