Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (16 oz) sparkling rosé grape juice (non-alcoholic, chilled)
  • 1/3 cup (2.7 oz) cherry syrup (store-bought or homemade)
  • 2 tablespoons (1 oz) freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 cup (8 oz) club soda or sparkling water
  • Granulated sugar (for rim, about 2 tablespoons)
  • Lemon wedge (for rim)
  • Pink sanding sugar (optional, for rim)
  • Maraschino cherries (for garnish, with stems if possible)
  • Fresh mint leaves (optional, for garnish)
  • Thin lemon slices (for garnish)
  • Ice (optional, for serving)

Instructions

  1. Pour 2 tablespoons granulated sugar (and 1 tablespoon pink sanding sugar, if using) onto a small plate.
  2. Run a lemon wedge around the rim of each glass to moisten.
  3. Dip the rim of each glass into the sugar, rolling to coat. Set aside.
  4. In a pitcher, combine 2 cups sparkling rosé grape juice, 1/3 cup cherry syrup, and 2 tablespoons lemon juice. Stir gently.
  5. Add 1 cup club soda or sparkling water and stir gently to preserve bubbles.
  6. Slice lemon into thin rounds and pick mint leaves. Drain maraschino cherries.
  7. Fill each sugared-rim glass with ice (optional). Pour mocktail base into each glass, filling about 3/4 full.
  8. Top off with extra club soda if desired.
  9. Garnish each glass with a maraschino cherry, mint leaf, and lemon slice.
  10. Serve immediately and enjoy!

Notes

For best results, chill all ingredients before mixing. Adjust sweetness or tartness by adding more cherry syrup or lemon juice to taste. Make the mocktail base ahead, but add club soda just before serving for maximum fizz. For a fun twist, let guests rim their own glasses and add garnishes. Substitute cranberry or pomegranate syrup if cherry syrup is unavailable.
