These fresh mimosa bar fruit skewers are a vibrant, colorful twist on traditional fruit skewers, perfect for brunch or entertaining with a refreshing and celebratory flavor.

Ingredients

  • Pineapple chunks, fresh and juicy, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • Orange segments, peeled and sectioned, seedless if possible
  • Strawberries, washed and hulled, halved or quartered depending on size
  • Green grapes, seedless, washed
  • Blueberries, fresh and plump
  • Kiwifruit slices, peeled and cut into rounds or half-moons (optional)
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish (optional)
  • Lemon zest, a light sprinkle
  • Honey or agave syrup, light drizzle (optional)
  • Wooden or bamboo skewers, about 6 inches long

Instructions

  1. Wash all fruit thoroughly. Peel and section the oranges, hull and halve the strawberries, peel and slice the kiwi, and cut pineapple into bite-sized chunks. (Approx. 10-15 minutes)
  2. In a large mixing bowl, gently toss the fruit with lemon zest and a light drizzle of honey or agave syrup. This step is optional but adds brightness and subtle sweetness. (2-3 minutes)
  3. Start with a grape, then alternate with pineapple, strawberry, orange segment, blueberry, and kiwi slice. Aim for 4-5 pieces per skewer for easy handling. (15 minutes)
  4. Tuck fresh mint leaves between fruit pieces or place a sprig at the end of each skewer for aroma and color. (2 minutes)
  5. Lay the skewers neatly on a platter. Keep covered in the fridge if preparing ahead, but serve within 2 hours for best freshness. (2 minutes)

Notes

Soak wooden skewers in water for 10 minutes if grilling. Prepare fruit close to serving time to avoid sogginess. Add berries last to prevent squishing. Don’t overcrowd skewers for easy handling. Optional drizzle of honey or agave adds brightness. Fresh mint enhances flavor and aroma.
