A quick and refreshing summer slushie blending frozen strawberries, fresh lemon juice, sugar, and ice for a perfect icy treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups (300g) frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) fresh lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup (50g) granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (120ml) cold water
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cups (240-360ml) ice cubes
  • Optional: fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Juice 3 to 4 medium lemons to get 1/2 cup (120ml) fresh lemon juice and strain out seeds.
  2. Add frozen strawberries, lemon juice, sugar, and cold water to the blender and blend on high speed for 30 seconds.
  3. Add ice cubes and pulse blender in 15-second bursts until smooth and icy but thick, about 1 to 2 minutes.
  4. Taste and adjust sweetness or thickness by adding more sugar or cold water as needed, blending briefly after adjustments.
  5. Serve immediately in tall glasses, garnished with fresh mint leaves if desired.

Notes

Add ice after blending other ingredients to ensure sugar dissolves well and texture is smooth. Pulse ice to keep slushie fluffy, not watery. Use frozen strawberries for best texture. Store leftovers in airtight container in freezer up to 2 days; re-blend before serving.
