These Chocolate-Dipped Strawberry Croissant Bites are an easy, crowd-pleasing treat featuring buttery mini croissants, fresh strawberries, and a glossy chocolate dip. Perfect for parties, brunch, or a quick dessert, they come together in under 30 minutes and are endlessly customizable.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 mini croissants (about 10.5 oz / 300g), store-bought or homemade
  • 1 pint (about 10 oz / 300g) fresh strawberries, hulled and sliced
  • 1 cup (6 oz / 170g) semi-sweet chocolate chips (or dark/milk chocolate chips)
  • 2 tablespoons (1 oz / 28g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tablespoons (0.5 oz / 16g) powdered sugar, optional for dusting
  • Sea salt flakes, optional for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prep your ingredients: Gather mini croissants, strawberries (hulled and sliced), chocolate chips, and melted butter. Measure out powdered sugar if using.
  2. Toast the croissants: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Split each mini croissant in half horizontally. Brush cut sides with melted butter. Arrange cut-side up on baking sheet and toast for 5-8 minutes until golden and lightly crisp.
  3. Fill with strawberries: Remove croissants from oven and let cool slightly. Arrange a layer of sliced strawberries on the bottom half of each croissant.
  4. Sandwich and slice: Replace top halves and gently press together. If using regular croissants, slice each into quarters for bite-sized pieces.
  5. Melt the chocolate: Place chocolate chips in a small saucepan or microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 20-second bursts, stirring each time, until smooth and glossy. Or melt over low heat on stovetop, stirring constantly. Add a pinch of sea salt if desired.
  6. Dip and set: Using tongs or forks, dip half of each croissant bite into melted chocolate. Let excess drip off, then place on parchment-lined baking sheet or wire rack. Drizzle extra chocolate on top if desired.
  7. Chill and finish: Place baking sheet in fridge for 10 minutes to set chocolate. When firm, sprinkle with powdered sugar and extra sea salt flakes if desired.
  8. Serve and enjoy: Arrange on a platter and serve slightly chilled or at room temperature.

Notes

For best results, use firm, ripe strawberries and quality chocolate chips. Pat strawberries dry to prevent soggy croissants. Toasting croissants keeps them crisp under the chocolate. Add a teaspoon of coconut oil to chocolate for a glossier finish. These bites are best served slightly chilled or at room temperature. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. For gluten-free or dairy-free, use appropriate croissants and chocolate.
